Executive Team:

Skywave Broadband's management team consists of local wireless, internet infrastructure, and telecommunications veterans with previous experience building successful companies and providing outstanding value and service to customers.

Matthew Ganote
President & Co-Founder
Matt has overseen the growth of Skywave from an small network startup to one of the largest providers of Managed WiFi in Hawaii. He has done everything from design and implement large-scale rooftop antenna deployments to spearhead DSL contract negotiations and installations at some of Hawaii's largest Hotels and Condominiums. He is also the point man for Skywave's partnerships with Hawaiian Telcom and the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf chain in Hawaii to name a few.
Matt has been involved in systems administration, network management, and help desk operations for several years for companies including IBM, Rainmaker Systems, and Voxeo. He holds a Microsoft MCSE and a Novell CNA certification.

Rob Jenkins
Chief Technical Officer and Lead Developer
Rob is an Open Source advocate that spends most of his time building applications and embedded hardware solutions for various network and IT scenarios. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, and holds certifications for Unix Management and System Administration, A+, and Network+. Rob has a passion for wireless networks and holds the CWNA and CWSP certifications. He has held systems and network administrator positions for various companies like ADCOM/BHS, Voxeo, and Palco Labs. For the last couple of years Rob has participated in the Open Source community, developing applications in PHP and MySQL that replace expensive CRM, ERP, PBX and other database driven applications. Rob is also developing proprietary Web Management tools for WiFi Hot Spots, Mesh Capable WIPS/WIDS and Open Source VOIP Servers. Rob graduated with Distinction from San Diego State University.

Joshua Beil
Co-Founder
Josh was formerly VP of Research and Development for the market research boutique, Tier 1 Research, where he has covered the Internet infrastructure sector as an analyst, participated in vendor briefings and product demos, negotiated and sold subscriptions to Tier 1's services, and helped to manage and grow the company's online presence. He maintains a private consulting practice specializing in the web hosting industry. Mr. Beil has previously served as the Senior Analyst for Exodus Communications as well as the internationally known market research firm, IDC. Mr. Beil holds a Certificate in E-Business from UCSC Extension, and he graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a major in Psychology.
